Isn’t It Lovely to Discover your Identity? Special Guests: Charlie & Carrie Sanders

“I want to be the person that gets in those potholes in life and helps people get out of them.”

Rachel and Tracy are thrilled to welcome Charlie and Carrie Sanders to the podcast for an uplifting, hopeful conversation focused on identity, reconciliation, and the power of empathy. Rachel says the word “beautiful” approximately 97 times and ponders purchasing a thesaurus. Tracy and Carrie press into the importance of questions, education, and “getting outside of ourselves’ as “we’re here together.” Rachel and Tracy learn that Charlie and Carrie recently celebrated a decade of marriage and offer to officiate a vow renewal, despite a stunning lack of qualifications.

Charlie and Carrie Sanders started their journey off as college sweethearts. After encountering many of life’s setbacks they learned the importance of valuing their true identity in Jesus Christ. Upon this revelation they built their marriage and set out on a journey of obedience and allowing God to use their lives. They are originally from South Georgia but now reside with their five amazing children in Sioux Falls, SD. Charlie retired after having a very successful career in the Indoor Football League in 2016 to pursue fulltime ministry. They have served in ministry together over the last seven years in various forms. The Sanders have narrowed their focus to developing and equipping leaders, discipleship, and unifying communities around the gospel in recent years. They are now developing their ministry This Is Holy Ground, where they desire to empower individuals to walk out their God given purpose to advance the Kingdom one step at a time.
